Hi! I’m Hannah

I’m a multidisciplinary storyteller with a master’s degree and background in journalism and a decade in the sports industry. Blending creativity, empathy and research, my approach to sports content creation fosters connections and creates quantifiable impact.

I spent most of my life on one side of the story before I ever received a press pass. As a former college soccer player whose career also included a stint playing overseas after graduation, I am familiar with the competitive athlete experience: the tension before a big game, what it feels like to form a family inside the locker room, how an injury can derail a dream and the euphoria of a comeback. That's one foundation on which stands everything I produce.

My time playing soccer drives me the storyteller towards wanting to understand what’s behind every stat or score. The doubt, the discipline, the decision to preserve. Those elements are universal, the parts everybody — sports lover or not — can connect to in some way.

Also instrumental to my work is a passion for history. I majored in history as an undergraduate, because I've always wanted to know how we got here, not just what "here" looks like. That habit has followed me in my sports content career. You’ll see that literally in my historical podcast Hail Tales, for example, but in general, I’m always seeking the backstory. How did this one coach shape this athlete? How did a community or era bring about current phenomena we’re seeing on the court? History taught me that context is more than a “nice to have”; it's the whole difference between simply reporting what happened and actually explaining it.

The combination of a historian’s curiosity, an athlete’s feel and my professional training give me the confidence and the ability to craft narratives that truly resonate.
